ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

It is easier to understand the sport of Fantasy Baseball if we start with a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each participant in the game.

League Commissioner: The League Commissioner is a mediator and over-site manager of the game. The League Commissioner monitors all league activities (i.e. establishes playing rules, oversees trades/transactions and ethical conduct).

General Manager (GM)/Team Owner: You, the General Manager /Team Owner manage a personally selected squad of professional baseball players.  Fantasy Baseball works just like the major leagues. You, as the General Manager/Team Owner control, select and run your own team of pro baseball players. The GM/Team Owner’s goal is to build the best all-round team to compete against other Team Owners. To do this you'll need to keep an eye on how players around the league are performing. With your RotoAmerica.com membership you'll have all the tools you will need to be competitive utilizing current statistics, player reports, breaking news, expert advice, Fantasy analysis and relevant commentary.

League: A group of Team Owners competing against one another creates a League.

Players: Consist of all professional players selected by the General Manager/Team Owner to create a team.
