The San Francisco Chronicle reported Thursday that Zito has agreed to a seven-year contract worth $126 million with the San Francisco Giants.
It is the largest deal in baseball history for a pitcher. The deal also includes a club option for an eighth year.
According to the report, Zito will be formally introduced by the Giants on Friday.
